LGBTQ+ Counselling & Coaching
A place where you don’t have to make yourself easier to understand
There are times when what we are carrying is difficult to separate into neat categories. Identity, relationships, family, belonging, work, shame, grief, transition, old wounds, expectations, and the wider world may all be woven together.
I offer English-language counselling and coaching for LGBTQIA+, queer, trans and gender-diverse adults who want space to explore themselves more deeply, understand recurring patterns, and find ways of living that feel more genuinely their own.
You can arrive exactly as you are and we begin with what is here.
Online throughout Norway and internationally, with in-person sessions available in Oslo.

You might be exploring…
identity, gender, sexuality, or transition
shame or a persistent inner critic
feeling different, outside, or difficult to understand
patterns of masking or making yourself smaller around others
family relationships, rejection, or complicated belonging
difficulty trusting yourself or your own desires
relationships that keep touching old wounds
grief around what you did not receive or were not able to become earlier
major life transitions or starting again
loneliness or difficulty finding meaningful community
burnout from adapting, performing, or carrying too much
questions about what you actually want your life to look like
spirituality, meaning, or changes in how you understand yourself
the sense that you have already done a great deal of inner work and something deeper is still asking for attention
It’s also totally okay if you’re not quite sure what you need. Sometimes there is simply a feeling that the life you have been living no longer quite fits.
You can bring the complicated parts
I have more than ten years of professional experience in counselling and somatic, relational, and trauma-informed work, including many years supporting queer and trans people.
You won’t need to spend our time explaining basic LGBTQIA+ language, defending your identity, or helping me understand why something that looks small from the outside may carry much more weight for you.
There is room for contradiction here.
You can feel certain and uncertain.
Grateful and angry.
Free and grieving.
Proud of who you have become while still carrying old shame.
You can want change while another part of you wants desperately to stay safe.
We can become curious about all of it.
You are part of a larger landscape
It is easy to experience shame, fear, self-criticism, or disconnection as though they originated entirely inside us. But none of us grows in isolation. We are shaped within families, cultures, relationships, communities, institutions, histories, expectations, places, and particular moments in time.
Some of the messages we carry may have been learned long before we could question them.
Who am I allowed to be?
What makes me lovable?
What happens if I disappoint someone?
How much of myself is safe to show?
What am I responsible for?
Where do I belong?
Sometimes the work involves following those roots. We can become curious about what helped you survive or belong in earlier landscapes, what those patterns cost you, and whether the conditions of your life now might allow something different to grow.
I create a warm and welcoming space to explore whatever needs tending. Sometimes it helps to understand enough of the landscape that more choice becomes possible in the present.
Our work can move between reflection and experience
My approach is relational, embodied, collaborative, and experiential. We might talk about something happening in your life and then slow down enough to notice what else is present: sensation, emotion, gesture, imagery, impulse, memory, or the different parts of you responding in different ways.
Sometimes we stay close to an experience unfolding right now. Other times we follow a recurring pattern back toward its roots. And sometimes we explore the stories you have inherited about who you are supposed to be, and whether those stories still belong in the life you are creating.
The work can include practical questions about relationships, boundaries, communication, decisions, and life changes. It can also take us into deeper territory: shame, grief, belonging, identity, intimacy, fear, anger, meaning, desire, and the parts of ourselves that have spent a long time living in the shadows.
My work draws from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, somatic and experiential approaches, Internal Family Systems, ACT, mindfulness, Gestalt, attachment-informed work, and more than ten years of counselling experience.
There is no particular way you need to be queer here
I welcome people across a wide range of identities and experiences, including:
lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual and queer people
trans and gender-diverse people
people questioning or exploring identity
people navigating transition
people in polyamorous or consensually non-monogamous relationships
kink/BDSM communities
neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill people
immigrants, expats, and internationally mobile people
people whose identities or lives cross several of these worlds
people who simply know that conventional ways of living have never fit particularly well
You do not need the perfect label or to perform a particular version of queerness. You can arrive as you are without needing to explain yourself or justify anything to me.

What might become possible if you didn’t have to leave parts of yourself outside the room?
You do not need to know exactly where the work will lead.
We can begin by meeting what is already here with a little more curiosity.
