TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service apply when you book, purchase, access, or participate in services or products offered directly by Northern Lights Coaching & Consulting. Northern Lights Coaching & Consulting is the trading name of Soren Stone Coaching, organisation number NO 937735030, registered in Norway.

By booking, purchasing, or participating in a service or product, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services covered by these Terms

These Terms apply to services and products offered directly through Northern Lights Coaching & Consulting, including:

  • individual counselling and coaching

  • couples and relationship support

  • consultations

  • courses and digital products

  • workshops and groups

  • retreats and intensives

  • professional and organisational services

Counselling, coaching, and relationship services are also subject to the separate Informed Consent for Counselling & Coaching. Information about how personal data is handled is available in the separate Privacy Policy. Services I provide through another company, healthcare platform, employer, or separate written agreement are governed by the terms of that service and are not covered by these Terms.

2. Prices and payment

Current prices are listed on the website or communicated to you before purchase or booking.

Unless otherwise stated, consumer-facing prices include VAT where applicable.

Prices may change for future bookings or purchases. A later price change will not affect a session, package, course, or service you have already purchased unless we mutually agree otherwise.

Card payments

Card payments are processed through Stripe. When you provide card information through Stripe, your payment details are stored and processed by Stripe. I do not have access to your full card number or security code.

If you agree to keep a card on file, you authorise Northern Lights Coaching & Consulting to charge that card for:

  • services you have booked or agreed to purchase

  • agreed package or payment-plan instalments

  • applicable late-cancellation or no-show fees

  • other charges you have expressly authorised

You may request removal of a stored card at any time, provided that doing so does not prevent payment of an amount that has already become due.

Invoice and bank transfer

Where invoice or bank transfer is offered, invoices may be issued through Fiken or another invoicing service used by Northern Lights Coaching & Consulting. Payment instructions and the applicable due date will be included on the invoice.

3. Sessions, cancellation, and rescheduling

I set aside dedicated time for each scheduled appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule an individual session, couples session, consultation, or other appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will ordinarily be charged at the full session fee.

For prepaid packages, a late cancellation or no-show may be deducted from the remaining package balance. I understand that emergencies and exceptional circumstances happen. I may waive a late-cancellation fee at my discretion.

Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. Arriving late does not ordinarily extend the scheduled ending time. If I need to cancel an appointment, I will offer an opportunity to reschedule. If appropriate rescheduling is not possible, any prepaid fee for that appointment will be credited or refunded.

4. Packages

Unless otherwise stated when purchased, prepaid individual or couples session packages must be used within six months of purchase. Packages are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed in writing. If you decide to discontinue working together before a package expires, unused sessions will ordinarily be refunded on a pro-rata basis using the effective per-session price of the package purchased. Sessions that have already taken place, late-cancelled sessions, and no-shows charged under the cancellation policy are considered used. After the package period has ended, unused sessions ordinarily expire and are no longer refundable, except where required by law or where we mutually agree otherwise.

5. Workshops, groups, retreats, and intensives

A particular workshop, group, retreat, intensive, or event may have additional terms relating to matters such as:

  • registration

  • deposits

  • cancellation

  • travel

  • accommodation

  • safety

  • participation

  • refunds

  • weather or outdoor conditions

These will be communicated when relevant. If event-specific terms differ from these general Terms, the event-specific terms will apply to that offering. If Northern Lights Coaching & Consulting cancels a paid event, participants will be offered an appropriate rescheduled date, transfer, credit, or refund.

6. Courses and digital products

Courses and digital products offered through Northern Lights Coaching & Consulting are educational resources. Access begins according to the terms shown at the time of purchase. The access period shown on the product or checkout page when you purchase will apply to your purchase.

I may make reasonable updates, corrections, additions, or improvements to course materials over time. These changes will not intentionally remove the fundamental content or purpose of a product already purchased. Course access may depend on third-party website or hosting services. I will make reasonable efforts to maintain access and address technical problems, although occasional interruptions may occur.

7. Personal use and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, courses, written materials, field journals, exercises, videos, illustrations, frameworks, worksheets, and other original materials are provided for your personal use. You may download or print materials that are made available for download for your own participation.

Without written permission, materials may not be:

  • reproduced or distributed to others

  • publicly uploaded or posted online

  • resold or sublicensed

  • substantially copied or adapted into another course, workshop, training, publication, or commercial service

  • used to facilitate a paid group, class, coaching programme, or professional training

  • otherwise used commercially

Purchasing access gives you permission to use the materials. It does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property.

8. Refunds

Individual and couples packages

Unused sessions in an unexpired package are handled according to the package provisions above.

Digital courses and products

Where a particular course or digital product includes a refund policy, the policy shown at the time of purchase will apply.

For Tending the Relationship Garden, if you purchase the course directly from Northern Lights Coaching & Consulting and decide that it is not a good fit, you may contact me within 14 days of purchase to request a full refund. Feedback is welcome but is not required in order to request the refund.

If a course purchase is refunded, access to the course will end and downloaded materials associated with the refunded purchase should no longer be used.

Bundled offerings

Where an offering combines digital course access with individual or couples sessions, the product or checkout information will explain how refunds apply to each part of the package.

Sessions that have already taken place are not refundable.

Consumer rights

These policies are provided in addition to any mandatory consumer rights that apply under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit a consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

9. Ending services

You may decide to discontinue individual, couples, consultation, or other ongoing services at any time.

I may pause or end services where:

  • the agreed scope of the service can no longer reasonably be provided

  • another type of service appears more appropriate

  • continuing no longer appears workable

  • agreed boundaries are repeatedly not respected

  • invoices or agreed fees remain unpaid

  • continuing would create a significant ethical, legal, safety, or professional concern

Where appropriate, I will communicate openly about this and support a reasonable transition. Unused prepaid fees will be handled according to these Terms and applicable law.

10. Organisational and professional services

Organisational consulting, training, workshops, presentations, or other professional services may be accompanied by a proposal, statement of work, service agreement, or other written terms. These may address matters such as scope, deliverables, payment, travel, cancellation, confidentiality, and intellectual property. Where a separate written agreement applies, that agreement takes precedence over these general Terms where the two conflict.

11. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may occasionally be updated to reflect changes in services, business practices, technology, or legal requirements. The version in effect when you make a particular purchase will ordinarily govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or we mutually agree otherwise. The date at the top of this page shows when the Terms were most recently updated.
