A bit about me…

A life shaped by change, curiosity, and the search for something that feels real.

My path into this work hasn’t been linear…it’s taken many forms.

I’ve spent time in the military, in art school, in corporate fashion, on farms and in tiny houses. I’ve worked as a counselor, a coach, a spa owner, and a community organizer. I’ve moved between countries, transitioned genders, and started over more times than I can count.

For a long time, I couldn’t see how these experiences fit together.

Now I understand they were all circling the same questions:

Where do I belong?
What actually matters?
What does it mean to feel at home in my body and my life?

Burnout as a turning point…

Like many people I work with, I spent years pushing, adapting, and trying to make things work…often at the cost of myself.

Eventually, I burned out. Not just in my work, but more deeply than that.

What shifted things wasn’t pushing harder or trying to fix myself. It was slowing down, and spending time outside…where I didn’t have to hold everything on my own.

That experience changed how I understand support, and it continues to shape how I work.

How I work…

I tend to work well with people who have never quite felt at home in conventional paths…people navigating transition, identity shifts, or periods of uncertainty. That includes LGBTQIA+ folks, immigrants, creatives, and people who feel deeply. In my individual work, we slow down, pay attention to what’s here, and work at a pace your body can actually hold.

I draw from:

  • somatic (body-based) awareness

  • mindfulness and attention practices

  • conversation and deep listening

  • time outdoors, when it feels supportive

  • periods of quiet rest, sometimes supported by sound instruments

My partner, Kirien, has been one of the deepest influences on how this work has evolved. Through our relationship, my understanding of somatic practice has expanded beyond the individual body toward relationship, culture, place, land, and the wider living world. His background in mindfulness, forest therapy, Reiki, sound practice, and relational work has influenced many of the practices I now draw from, while our intercultural relationship has continually invited me to notice my own assumptions about what it means to be a person, a couple, or part of a community.

Alongside my individual work, I also offer co-facilitated relationship counselling with Kirien. Together, we create a slower, present-focused space for couples, partners, and multi-partner relationships to notice what is happening between them and stay with the complexity of relationship without rushing toward a solution.

Where I am now…

I live and work in Oslo, Norway, supporting people across different backgrounds and life situations.

Much of what I offer comes from lived experience…not just training, but moving through burnout, disconnection, and starting over.

This work continues to evolve as I do.

My experience…

Over the past decade, I’ve worked with individuals and couples in a range of settings, both as a licensed mental health counselor in the U.S. and as a coach with clients worldwide.

My experience includes:

  • private practice counseling

  • crisis support through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

  • community mental health work

  • non-clinical coaching focused on relationships, stress, and life transitions

I am currently licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State (USA) and see clients physically located in Washington State through insurance. My counselling and coaching work in Norway is a separate non-clinical, fully private-pay practice which does not include diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions.
