LGBTQ+ Relationship Counselling
Relationship support with room for the whole of who you are
Relationships do not grow separately from identity, history, community, culture, or the wider world around us.
I offer English-language relationship counselling and coaching for LGBTQIA+, queer, trans and gender-diverse couples and partners who want to understand one another more deeply, move through difficult patterns, or tend the relationship they are creating together.
You won’t need to translate your identity, relationship, gender, sexuality, or community before we can begin exploring what is actually happening between you.

You won’t need to explain your identity to me
I have more than ten years of professional experience in counselling and relationship work, including many years supporting queer and trans people, LGBTQIA+ relationships, polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships, sex workers, and kink/BDSM communities.
There is no assumed template here for what partnership, gender, intimacy, family, commitment, sex, or belonging should look like.
We might begin by exploring some questions like…
What matters to each of you?
What are you trying to create together?
Where do you feel close?
Where do you lose sight of one another?
What helps each person feel seen, cared for, free, and able to belong?
You might be experiencing...
recurring conflict or feeling stuck in the same conversations
differences in communication, closeness, autonomy, sex, or intimacy
feeling unseen, misunderstood, or disconnected from one another
coming out or changes in gender or sexual identity
transition and the ways a relationship may change alongside it
differences in how identity is experienced or expressed
family, cultural, or community expectations
minority stress, discrimination, or lack of support around the relationship
changing agreements or relationship structures
rebuilding trust after hurt or rupture
questions around polyamory, non-monogamy, or kink
wanting to deepen an already loving and supportive relationship
Sometimes something hurts or feels stuck. Sometimes one or both of you are changing. Sometimes the world around the relationship has been demanding a great deal from you. And sometimes you simply want a place to slow down and understand one another more deeply.
Exploring relationships as ecosystems
Every relationship grows within a particular landscape. Each person brings histories, cultures, identities, experiences of care and belonging, values, desires, and relationship maps gathered across a lifetime.
Around you are families, friendships, communities, workplaces, healthcare systems, cultural expectations, money, health, place, politics, and the wider social conditions in which your relationship is trying to grow.
Some relationships are asked to flourish with far less support around them than others.
Our work can make room for that wider landscape while also becoming curious about what happens between you:
What helps connection flow?
Where do you become tangled?
How does each person recognize and receive care?
What happens when your different experiences of the same moment meet?
Where is the relationship well supported, and where are the two of you carrying too much alone?
What helps you find one another again?
The relationship itself does not have to be separated from the world it lives within.
What our work might look like
My approach is relational, embodied, collaborative, and experiential.
Sometimes we slow a difficult moment down enough to notice more of what is happening between you.
We might explore the different stories each person is carrying, how care is offered and received, what happens when one person reaches for closeness and another reaches for space, or why a familiar interaction keeps drawing you back into the same place.
The work may be practical: communication, boundaries, agreements, negotiation, and repair.
It may also take us deeper into trust, shame, grief, belonging, identity, desire, intimacy, power, and the relationship maps each of you learned long before you met.
Often, both belong in the same landscape.
My work draws from more than ten years of counselling and relationship experience, including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, somatic and experiential approaches, Internal Family Systems, ACT, mindfulness, attachment-informed work, and trauma-informed relational practice.
