Maybe you love each other and still get lost sometimes

You might have the same conversation again and again.

One of you may reach for connection while the other needs space.

You may both be trying, reflecting, communicating, reading the books, even going to therapy, and still find yourselves back in familiar places.

Or perhaps nothing is particularly wrong.

You simply want to understand one another better and spend a few hours tending something that matters to you.

This workshop creates space to do that together.

What if your relationship is a living ecosystem?

There are roots: what brought you together and what matters to you.

There is soil: histories, experiences, inherited relationship maps, and the stories each of you carries.

There is weather: work, health, family, money, migration, community, and everything happening around your relationship.

And there is nourishment: attention, play, care, curiosity, intimacy, laughter, repair, and the small things that help connection grow.

During the workshop, you’ll explore some of this landscape together through guided experiences rather than simply sitting and listening to relationship advice.

Three hours of exploring together

Each workshop moves through a gentle arc of:

Connection → Curiosity → Communication → Cultivation

You’ll experience:

  • guided practices with your partner

  • creative and experiential ways of exploring your relationship

  • time for conversation and reflection together

  • practical tools you can continue using at home

  • shared group reflection

  • printed materials to take with you

  • a warm, small-group environment

Each workshop stands on its own, so you can come once or return for another journey.

This workshop may be a good fit if…

  • you want to deepen your connection

  • you keep getting stuck in familiar patterns

  • you want fresh tools for communication and care

  • you’re curious about a gentler way of exploring your relationship

  • you enjoy learning through experience, play, creativity, and imagination

  • you want dedicated time to slow down and turn toward one another

  • you’re interested in understanding the wider landscape shaping your relationship

  • you want to notice more of what already helps your connection thrive

  • you’re curious about new ways of seeing familiar moments together

  • you want to leave with practices you can return to at home

Meet your guide

I’m Soren Stone, a couples counsellor and somatic coach with more than ten years of experience supporting diverse couples and individuals through relationship challenges, transitions, and the wonderfully complicated work of being human together.

Over the years, I’ve become increasingly curious about what changes when we approach relationships as living ecosystems to tend. Each person brings their own histories, values, ways of seeing, experiences of care, and relationship maps. Around us are families, communities, work, health, culture, place, and all the other conditions that shape how we meet one another.

My work brings together relational and somatic approaches, mindfulness, experiential learning, creativity, and a lot of curiosity. I especially love helping couples slow familiar moments down enough to see something they may have missed before, discover new ways of understanding one another, and notice the strengths and possibilities already growing within their relationship.

This workshop grew out of my relationship course, Tending the Relationship Garden, as a space where couples can step out of everyday rhythms for an afternoon and explore together through conversation, reflection, imagination, and guided experiences.

I’ll offer the structure, questions, practices, and a few trail markers along the way. You bring the particular relationship only the two of you could have created.
